Castiel came to us from Geraldton. He is a fearful boy who got surrendered to the pound due to his high energy levels and the previous owners could not provide enough exercise for him. Castiel takes a lot of time to warm up to new people and will need a very calm household with minimal foot-traffic. He will need up to 1.5 hours of exercise each day. An experienced dog owner is recommended who has the ability to be home most of the day such as someone who can work from home.
He will need to get used to everything in his new environment slowly.
Castiel lived with a cat but did not like feral cats at all.
He has been friendly in his dog test here at the refuge.

Our website updates the availability of our dogs in real time. There is a chance that while you are travelling to the Home to meet a particular dog, he or she may be involved in the adoption process or already adopted. You can phone ahead to enquire about a dog you are interested in between the hours of 11am and 4pm but we cannot place dogs on hold over the phone.
